The US president said in an interview ahead of the United Nations meeting that he was considering ‘wiping Iran out’
The statement comes ahead of the first debate of the annual UN General Assembly in New York, where representatives from 193 countries are gathering.
Today’s morning session (from 1300 GMT time) is due to be kicked off by an address from the Brazilian president, Luiz Inácio Lula Da Silva, and will be followed by a speech from the US president, Donald Trump.
